What we do

Did you know traffic accidents account for almost half of all accidental deaths, and are the largest single cause of death and injury to young adults in this country ?

95% of all accidents are caused by driver error !!

Being a good driver means that you never stop learning. Improving your driving skills and becoming an advanced driver will not only make you safer but you will enjoy your driving more. Becoming a better driver involves reviewing and adapting your driving skills to keep pace with ever changing road and traffic conditions. It is not simply the speed of your reactions that determines whether you are a safe driver but your ability to identify and respond effectively to hazards. That skill can be further developed. RoSPA Advanced Drivers' Association (RoADA) is a section of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) one of the foremost safety advisory and training organisations in the world. The Northamptonshire Group, which is affiliated to RoADA, was formed to offer FREE training, support and advice to drivers who want to improve their driving and pass the Advanced Driving Test. Our aim is the reduction of traffic accidents by encouraging interest in road safety, by improving driving standards, knowledge and skill.

Training to pass the Advanced Driving Test is carried by one of the Group's trained Observers who will conduct training sessions in the Associates own car. These sessions normally last approximately 1 hour and are carried out at times convenient to both the Observer and his Associate.
